Dakota Brandon

Dakota is the veteran half of True North Inspections. He is a Texas native and spent time in the Navy until being honorably discharged in 2013. He went on to pursue a career in electronics engineering at multiple respected companies until he finding his way to the real estate inspection industry.

Dakota’s service area includes all of the Highland Lakes area including: Horseshoe Bay, Llano, Lake Buchanan, Kingsland, Marble Falls, Lampasas, and more.

Justin "JT" Payne

Justin “JT” Payne  has been a well respected first responder for going on 12 years.  He is also a proud Texas native. His need to help others led to his calling in EMS and now in real estate home inspections. 

JT’s service area includes: Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Kyle, Blanco, Johnson City, Dripping Springs, and more.

Why We Are Here

Most home inspectors will tell exactly what they are going to do an how they plan on doing it. What they don’t tell you is why. Not why they are performing a certain inspection, but why they are in the home inspection business. 

We are in this because we truly believe when you are in the process of buying a home you need and deserve to be adequately informed of what issues may arise in the future. 

Since this is typically the most expensive investment most individuals will embark on, we think you deserve to know what to expect when buying a home.

What We Won't Do

We won’t sound the alarms when there’s no reason to. Small defects or issues can seem alarming, but not every small defect has to be scary.  Most often these can easily remedied.

You’ll never be left wondering how long it will take to receive your inspection report. We guarantee a 24-hour report turn around and we stand by it.

We will never leave your questions unanswered. If you ask, we answer. If we can’t answer your question, we’ll research it to find you one.

What We Will Do

We will thoroughly inspect everything from the foundation to the roof structure, the attic to the crawlspace, and everything between with due diligence.

We will try to find and identify any hidden defects that may be easily passed over but could be significant.

We will make evidence based recommendations and any defects that we identify.
